There DO exist genuine caps like this one with modern gold wash cockades... How do you imagine are the caps of the sixties? They were not all produced in the preivous decade with bras cockades...

Because in 1958, the actual name of the manufacturer was changed from "УВХС МО" to "УВС МО"

Thus the chin strap buttons don't fit also (15 republics and modern light gold wash)...

Nice cap which was manufactured between 1955 and 1958. However, the cocade does not correspond to the time period, it should be a 2-part bronze one; the one you show was introduced in 1964.

The DOT is maybe the equivalent of the soviet druzhiniks: labor workers who volunteered in the surveillance of public order, national border and traffic on roads.

I decided bulgarian medals should not be left to a hairdresser boy knwon on another forum. So I tried to hunt directly at the source (a bulgarian version of Ebay). Bulgarian sellers are courteous and kind people, they practice IBAN money transfert and they even have electricity. Bulgarian web is not...

I believe everything is genuine in all these uniforms. But why so many medals on the service jacket?
