Re: Paratroopers Kokarde
Never seen! I've also looked for it in the 3 volumes of Uniforma Rossijskogo VVF...but nothing!
Very strange: a mod.43 cockade for Generals without red star and an airplane in its place?

I have never seen that either
Re: Paratroopers Kokarde
First of all..hello everybody! I´m back!
I know I disappeared from the forum for one (or maybe two?) months, but here I am now.
So, this interesting cap badge is not Soviet..nor it belongs to any armed forces!
In fact, it is a Bulgarian Balgarski vazdushni linii/TABSO/Balkan civilian airlines cap badge.
Bulgarian civilian airlines were ribuilt (or better, properly established) in the aftermath of the Second World War. At first they bore the name of Bulgarian Air Lines, becoming then TABSO (Transportno-aviacionno balgaro-savetsko obedinenie, Bulgarian-Soviet Transport Aviation Corporation) when the Soviets invested in Bulgaria´s airlines and the company became jointly owned by PRB and USSR.
Finally, after the Bulgarian government rebought the whole airline, TABSO was renamed "Balkan" in 1968.
The cap badge gere shown was used as part of multi-piece contruction cockades, but I have also seen it used alone on some caps.
Here I attach some photos (coming from http://www.shopbulgaria.com/insignia-ca ... riods.html). As you can see the TABSO/Balkan cockades are here mistaken for Bulgarian Air Forces ones - while the model of such cockades is the one in display in the same photos, bearing the red star in the center (in the Bulgarian section of the forum you´ll find my PRB Air Force cockade, both in alluminium and brass).
I also thought you might have liked to see a nice early TABSO visor cap and some nice smiling "Balkan" pilots and hostess (enlarging the image you can clearly recognise the cockades on their caps).

Grande GC*, come al solito spiegazione impeccabile.
Re: Coccarda TABSO linee aeree bulgare
Vedo solo ora l'impeccabile risposta di GC*! Davvero complimenti per la tua ottima preparazione...senza la quale nessuno di noi sarebbe riuscito a dipanare la matassa

Re: Coccarda TABSO linee aeree bulgare
