Re: Order Red Banner of Labor.
Are the two parts kept toghether by a screw?
Re: Order Red Banner of Labor.
Dear ruiz, I am extremely happy to see I will no longer be the only one posting material of the People's Republic of Bulgaria!
Very nice order indeed. I had the chance to give an in depth look at one of such decorations in Hungary. If I am not mistaken, as Airon said, the wheel and red flag are fixed on the goldened wreaths by a screw, which can be clearly observed on the order's reverse.
But that is only my recollection, I might well be wrong.
Moreover, as you reported the serial number is 53. Quite low! As I am no expert of such medals, do you have any idea of the year in which this order was awarded?
Finally, very nice box! Do you also have the medal's document by any chance (which of course would show the date of awarding)?

Very nice! Is this a typical feature of the bulgarian awards or there are some variants that are using rivets?ruiz ha scritto:Yes !Airon ha scritto:Are the two parts kept toghether by a screw?

Re: Order Red Banner of Labor.
This is a typical feature of the early bulgarian awards. Later the numbers disappear and then the screw back .

This is a superb early piece even with its original suspension. Totally cool!
