Salve,

volendo aggiornare la discussione sui distintivi del KGB, vorrei postare quelli che furono conferiti al Colonnello (MfS) Eugen Classe, il cui gruppo di ordini e decorazioni (con relativi diplomi), è stato postato nella stanza dedicata alla DDR.

Per primo, il distintivo per il 50esimo anniversario del KGB, completo di documento:

Infine, il distintivo da onorevole collaboratore della Sicurezza dello Stato. Esso porta al retro il n. 5520. Da notare che la stella con falce e martello, è in oro.

E' fotografato assieme al distintivo commemorativo per i 60 anni delle Guardie di Frontiera del KGB.

Purtroppo, a tutti e tre i distintivi è stato asportato l'attacco originale a vite e furono montati su una barretta per nastrini con spilla al retro, per facilità di montaggio sull'uniforme.

Nulla di strano, anzi perfettamente normale, per i possessori di questi distintivi della Germania Est.

A whole lot showed up on ebaý, from an ukrainian dealer (evgebilia). So I'm suspicious: too many docs at the same time, not much time wear, poor handwritting...

I have also a bad feeling, but can´t saiy really that they are fakes.

Looks like we need now to do a comparison in sunlight, with magnifying glasses and a ruler... to compare fake and genuine. I've the feeling the color of dubious pieces are a bit lighter than on genuine booklets.
The oxydation of paper and gold-plating is a good hint. A neat chinese black ink writting is a good thing.

But what shall we be able to see in 20 years when fakes will have taken age?

Here are three documents which I think are okay.

What I found interesting ist, that not all documents have the same print errors in the boarder line.

And some have big quotation marks and some have very filigree quotation marks.
