Hello everybody,

Order of Red star s/n 133.376 awarded to Sr. Lieutenant Iliya Anufrievich Chernyshev on 14.03.1943, pilot of 879º separate mixed aviation regiment.

Brief description of the merits:

"Comrade CHERNYSHEV, in the regiment since September 1942, piloting the I-153 aircraft during this period, he conducted 66 successful combat missions against the German invaders. Of these: 12 ground assault missions, 30 reconnaissance missions including bomb strikes, 24 missions for air interception and air cover of our ground troops. All the combat missions are excellently executed. He is courageous and initiative during the air engagements. Comrade CHERNYSHEV applies all his effort in every mission to inflict highest possible damage to the enemy. He participated in 6 air dogfights, which he initiated. On 22 December 1942, he downed one enemy Fw-189. The victory is confirmed by other crews and by the follow up flight in to the area where the engagement took place.

On 8 January 1943 during an air battle, he hit an enemy Focke-Wulf-189, which had been confirmed by other news.

During the whole period of his service in the regiment, comrade CHERNYSHEV and his wingman destroyed up to 150 enemy troops, up to 15 trucks with ammunition, 2 artillery batteries, 10 horse carriages, 3 railroad wagons. All his combat results were verified by the other crews and the photo documentation. He previously worked in the 877 aviation regiment, where he made 150 combat night missions on a U-2 aircraft. For this effort, he was awarded a metal “For Bravery”. He is disciplined and tempered officer, demanding to himself and his subordinates. With his fearlessness and military skill, he proved his devotion to the cause of the party of “LENIN-STALIN” and the Socialist Motherland.

For exhibited courage and bravery in the struggle against the German invaders, he is worthy of order “RED BANNER”.

He was also awarded with courage medal on 28.07.1942.

A couple of comments:

It is an I-153 not an Il-2 and shooted aircraft was Fw-189, not Fw-190.

Even worse, the seller made a mistake and sent me the papers of the red star but those history belongs to ORS 133.376 and if you see the pictures my ORS is 133.378. [126

So I am trying to solve the issue.

So I am trying to solve the issue.
Finally the serial number is correct. In those pictures it seems to be a "8" but in hand it is clear "6", my mistake.
