Sergio,

I like it too! [264
And it is normal that it does not have any die crack.

Just a little bit late,

but I like the Belgrad medal also.

There is one version with separate soldered ring with a bigger band and a smaller one.

best regards
Andreas

Andreas,

You are right, there were two dies used to strike the Belgrade medal with soldered ring (I sort of mentioned that in my previous reply).

Die 1 is the one on the right on your picture. It is characterized by an overall finer engraving, a wider, more detailed ribbon, and by the tip of the middle leaf at the immediate left of the bow pointing horizontally to the left.

Die 2 is on the left on your picture. It showcases a narrower, flatter ribbon, and the tip of the middle leaf at the immediate left of the bow is pointing upward.

Very interesting. It seems I have got an example of each.

Marc, actually I compared my medals with your pictures above, and it was because of your descriptions that I could conclude they are from the two different dies. You and Andreas have brought in a very interesting piece of information on the matter, thanks! [50

Thanks, Guys!

I believe that sharing information and explaining have become the cornerstones of our hobby. That is the only way we have to smoke the bad guys' production out.

Perhaps colleagues will be interested in information that cavalier of the medal captain Pashko Alexander Dmitrievich served in the 1392 anti-aircraft artillery regiment during the liberation of Warsaw...

Dear rocketscientist, it's very simple - on the document of gratitude of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief for the liberation of Warsaw, there is a field post number that corresponds to a specific military unit - the 1392-th anti-aircraft artillery regiment [278

Thanks Pakkenen.
