This is a document of a person affected by Chernobyl of the 4th category - that is, a person who permanently resides or permanently works or constantly studies in the territory of the zone of enhanced radioecological control, provided that as of January 1, 1993, she lived or worked or studied permanently in this zone at least 4 years.
There are 4 categories of disaster victims:
category 1
1) persons with disabilities from among the participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident and victims of the Chernobyl disaster (Articles 10, 11 and part three of Article 12), in respect of whom a causal link of disability with the Chernobyl disaster, patients with radiation sickness;
(paragraph 1 of the first part of Article 14 as amended
according to the Law of Ukraine of 26.04.2001 N 2400-III)
2) participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident who worked in the exclusion zone:
- from the moment of the accident until July 1, 1986 - regardless of the number of working days;
- from July 1, 1986 to December 31, 1986 - not less than 5 calendar days;
- in 1987 - not less than 14 calendar days, as well as victims of the Chernobyl disaster;
- evacuated in 1986 from the exclusion zone (including persons who at the time of evacuation were in a state of fetal development, after reaching adulthood);
category 2
- persons who have permanently resided in the zone of unconditional (compulsory) resettlement from the moment of the accident until the adoption of the resolution on resettlement;
3) participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident, who worked:
- in the exclusion zone from July 1, 1986 to December 31, 1986 - from 1 to 5 calendar days;
- in the exclusion zone in 1987 - from 1 to 14 calendar days;
- in the exclusion zone in 1988-1990 - not less than 30 calendar days;
- at the existing points of sanitary treatment of the population and decontamination of equipment or their construction - not less than 14 calendar days in 1986,
category 3
as well as victims of the Chornobyl disaster (not classified in category 2), who:
- permanently resided in the territories of unconditional (compulsory) and guaranteed voluntary resettlement on the day of the accident or who as of January 1, 1993 lived in the zone of unconditional (compulsory) resettlement for at least two years and in the territory of guaranteed voluntary resettlement - not less than three years and resettled or independently moved from these territories;
- permanently reside or permanently work or permanently study in the zones of unconditional (compulsory) and guaranteed voluntary resettlement, provided that as of January 1, 1993 they have lived or worked or permanently studied in the zone of unconditional (compulsory) resettlement not less two years, and in the area of ​​guaranteed voluntary resettlement - not less than three years;
- category 4
persons who permanently reside or permanently work or permanently study in the territory of the enhanced radioecological control zone, provided that as of January 1, 1993 they have lived or worked or permanently studied in this zone for at least four years.
She has no rights to the badge of the liquidator of the Chernobyl disaster. Only persons of categories 1 and 2 are eligible to receive it.
