Early Days of battle of Stalingrad, Bezyazykov was involved in battles for Chir, Gumrak and Stalingrad Experimental Station.

Very heart of Stalingrad fighting!

Also, defending the Stalingrad experimental station was another man whose sacrifice gave us the most famous citation for all researchers of USSR medals.

On 04.09.42 whilst participating in a counterattack with his company, his personal example of bravery carried the soldiers through to 05.09.42 - during an attack on a wooden-weapon emplacement whilst under heavy machine gun fire, comrade Vatsenko shouting "For the Motherland, For Stalin" used his body to cover the opening of the wooden-weapon emplacement, enabling his company to ensure the success of their attack. His personal sacrifice for the motherland shows his devotion and contempt for death.

He died a heroic death in the eyes of his comrades, inspiring soldiers with his fearlessness and devotion to the motherland.

For his personal bravery, self-sacrifice for the motherland and our leader Comrade Stalin, he deserved awarding the Order "Red Banner".

Not very much of a recomendation for the deeds.
Who proposed a ORB for this is really a cheapskate to me.

Thank you everyone!

It is strange... for a mans life, no piece of metal, no matter how precious could ever be worth it

Though i agree, for his family, the recomendation should have been Hero of Soviet Union.

Here we are collecting these small objects, linked to such huge events.
