Io ritengo, vista la serie di informazioni a corredo che sembrano coincidere esattamente, che la foto sia effettivamente la sua.

Io ritengo non è una certezza, ma nella scheda di servizio non c'è la sua foto?

E' vero; "Io ritengo" non è, naturalmente, una certezza...
nulla si può dire nemmeno sulla credibilità della fonte visto che non è un ente istituzionale. E' un forum.
Mi pareva però sensato credere che viste le informazioni presentate abbinate alla suddetta foto, in un post che riporta lo stesso nome e informazioni del decorato della stella di Gotica, potesse essere plausibile che la foto fosse quella del decorato anche alla luce del fatto che non mi sembra che siano elementi che fanno ritenere il contrario (anche se ciò indubbiamente non è prova del fatto che sia la foto corretta).

Per tagliare la testa al toro credo sia possibile mettere una piccola nota sotto la foto con la dicitura "La foto riportata potrebbe non essere la sua".
Potrebbe andare bene?

Probabilmente non sarà in grado di ottenere il suo stato di servizio. NKVD record personale di solito sono ancora classificati.

If you are talking about the Uchetno-Posluzhnaja Karta, yes, as you can see in the translation, I've purchased this document and translated it. Unlukily there was no photo (often placed on the upper left of this kind of docs) with it.
If you are tanking about the personal file (Lichnoe Delo)...you have to know that I'm still crying since the day TsAMO stopped the possibility to consult them...

Sure, you are completely right! But, I don't know why, in this case we have been lucky enought to find at least the Uchetnaja Kartochka and a UPK.

Who said such a thing? I've trusted, bona fide, the forum I've linked before. I'm surely not an expert of M43 shoulder boards, but according the discussion between Dom and Auke seems to me that this photo is legit and has nothing wrong to be an original 1945 portrait of Jakhnin before the awarding of his OPW1.

No, Filo, in the docs there was any kind of photo...

You're right, I should have checked the first page... You were lucky, I am rarely able to obtain NKVD service records (UPKs). Personnel files (LD) are even more problematic. I haven't been able to gain access to them for several years now. Too bad, as they are a wealth of information...

Non c'è nemmeno l'area dove abitualmente veniva collocata la foto.

Gotica45, stavo discutendo con Auke sulla fonte della fotografia e sulla fortuna di aver trovato la Uchetno-Posluzhnaja Karta (il documento con tutta la carriera) di questo membro dell'NKVD. Documenti che, in teoria, non avrebbero dovuto essere accessibili.
