Sono proprio minatori...ma nel senso più ampio del termine. Sono direttori, ispettori, ingegneri, tecnici e semplici minatori, in genere tuttio dipendenti dal Ministero delle Miniere. I gradi più alti (all'incirca equiparabili al rango di ufficiale) vestivano sia un'uniforme di servizio, sia un'uniforme di parata. I minatori, quelli che dovevano scendere in miniera, giocoforza avevano solo un'uniforme di rappresentanza per le cerimonie ufficiali.
