I´m not a collector of Mongolian awards, but I have this wonderful and beautiful medal. For my, one of the most beautiful communist medals.
Honorary Medal for Combat. Type 1, Var 1.
Established by Presidential Decree of Hural and the Council of Ministers on May 16, 1941. Soldiers and officers of the TPM and the Ministry of internal border guards, granted who have committed heroic acts in defense of his country's borders .
It has a diameter of 36 mm, and is made of silver and red enamel 925 º. The triangular clamping screw is first time with red tape. The medal depicts the image of a Mongolian horseman galloping with his sword.
This variant is the first issued from 1941 to 1947. Has the delivery number No. 788, indulging only 1,998 units.

Incredibly "simple" in the design and yet so powerful and rich of significance. I very well understand why you appreciate it so much!

At least!!!
I saw two years ago, thinking "too expensive..." Foolish I was.
I saw it again this summer, and then it disapeared! So when it was back on "E" this winter, I jumped on it.
Sold by a gentlemen, Nota Bene. But ebay screwed me... So I won't encourage anymore the commercial deficit between the USA and France!

Well, Alexei accepted a fait price. But postage was pretty high: 20usd, thanks USPS for such a small padded letter! And invisible when buying the stuff, Ebay takes the parcel in charge and steals another 20usd!
