Thank you all for kind comments. First I'l show you the seller's pictures as my digital cam' choose to die after more than 10 years of really heavy duty, from the Great North in Norway to the greasy basements of my leaky Citroens...

Looks like this man participated into roads surveillance.

The DOT is maybe the equivalent of the soviet druzhiniks: labor workers who volunteered in the surveillance of public order, national border and traffic on roads.

The Sofia commemoritave medal...

Interestingly, a czesh police medal, another prrof ou man worked in the MVR (the bulgarian MVD).

The medal on the right is for merits in the mVR. The mimetism is really interesting. Bulgaria is the nation which copied the most accurate fidelity the soviet medal system: you saw all the traditionnal tchekist shield, even for MVD workers.
