Il 7 Maggio 1945 - la Germania si arrende incondizionatamente al Generale Eisenhower a Reims, in Francia, e ai sovietici a Berlino.
Il presidente Truman pronuncia il giorno seguente, l'8 maggio, VE Day.
Gli Stati Uniti, la Russia, l'Inghilterra, la Francia sono d'accordo per dividere la Germania occupata in due metà, orientale e occidentale.
May 07, 1945 - Germany surrenders unconditionally to General Eisenhower at Rheims, France, and to the Soviets in Berlin.
President Truman pronounces the following day, May 8, V-E Day. The U.S., Russia, England, and France agree to split occupied Germany
into eastern and western halves.
