Very nice order and with a touchy citation, indeed. I am very happy it was decided to upgrade the award at the last moment.
The sad thing is knowing that he could not see his order when he finally got it...

I never thought about that before...

Seeing as he lost his sight in 1942 and the OPW wasnt brought out until 1943, he would never have known what one looked like... only what it felt like.

Sad indeed.
