True thing. Mostly flags have ben faked in the thousands. This seems at best a propaganda lapel pin produced in the thousands probably. I say so because on top there seems to be a hole in the cardboard, where a hook could have been used to fix the whole thing on an uniform/jacket. Bare in mind that most probably this is not North Vietnamese, but likely European (either western or eastern). A zilion badges, pins and flags were produced for demonstrations in support of North Vietnam and the Vietcong and a lot of stuff sold as "Vietnamese" is in fact European/USSR-made.

A friend of mine who recently traveled to Vietnam was stuned by the poor conditions of conservation for everything: tropical climate dictates all problems, clothes and papers do take age really fast, and a few months make every copy credible...
