Short description of his feat of arms or accomplishments:

In September 1942 he took part in the fighting for the Sancharo Mountain Pass. Marching conditions were extremely severe and all medical equipment was delivered to the operating unit. The wounded received expert surgical assistance in a timely manner and with his help the wounded were quickly evacuated. During the fighting in January 1943 for the villages of Grigoryevskaya and Novo-Dimitrovskaya he deployed his surgical platoon in Stavropolskaya. Under his guidance and by him personally expert surgical assistance was provided to 600 wounded soldiers, including 350 severely wounded soldiers, in a short period of time. For his excellent guidance and his duties he is being nominated for the Order of the Red Star.

The Sancharsky Pereval

A 2589 м high pass! - and a bit of a "Soviet Thermopylae"! Fierce battles around there in the fall of 1942. The pass was initially taken by German mountain troops, whose training and mountain capability was a bitter surprise for Soviet forces. After the Nazis took control of the pass and established firing position on higher ground it took much blood, courage and military inventiveness to retake the pass, but the Soviets managed to do so in October 1942. A "Sancharskaya force" was even established to dislodge the Nazis from the pass and defend it.

As usual, great award and superb, historically meaningful citation!

Nel settembre del 1942 ha preso parte ai combattimenti per il valico di Sancharo. Le condizioni di marcia erano estremamente gravi e tutte le attrezzature mediche sono state consegnata all'unità operativa. I feriti hanno ricevuto esperta assistenza chirurgica in modo tempestivo e con il suo aiuto i feriti sono stati evacuati rapidamente.
Durante i combattimenti nel gennaio 1943 per i villaggi di Grigoryevskaya e Novo-Dimitrovskaya ha dislocato il suo plotone chirurgico in Stavropolskaya.
Sotto la sua guida e da lui personalmente è stata fornita esperta assistenza chirurgica ai 600 soldati feriti, tra cui 350 soldati gravemente feriti, e in un breve periodo di tempo.
