Re: ORS 1270081, Oder River.
I was very confused by this position: Senior laboratory technician
so on the internet i find "Лаборатория" or Laboratorist in English it seems
Duties are as follows:
"In short, the work associated with the ammunition from the equipping to disposal, acquisition, repair, assembly, monitoring the state of explosives and propellants, testing their resistance, ballistic tests of powder charges, control over the reliability of fuses."
Perhaps others here already knew but i did not!
Thank you for sharing this cool award

Re: ORS 1270081, Oder River.
Very interesting story - and very tense moment of the war! The Nazi beast had almost been hunted down in its liar, and yet this was the moment when Stalin feared the Ango-American troops could have entered Berlin first.
His 301 Stalino Riflers Division was not a very lucky one, unfortunately, since it had been annihilated at Kiev in 1941. In it's third re-establishment it however had much more luck and took part to the victorious drive of the Red Army into the heart of Europe. It was part of the 9th Riflers Corps, 5th Shock Army. Here some info on the Division.
And here a map where we can see the position the 5th Shock Army was occupying, while our Danilkin got his Star!
