Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
Comrade G.F. Frolov has been a gun commander in the regiment since October 1942. During countless engagements with enemy aviation, Comrade G.F. Frolov has proven himself a bravery and steadfast junior commander. During offensive operations in the winter and summer of 1944, his gun distinguished itself by its accurate firing on enemy aviation.
In February 1944 near the KIM and TSAPELKI collective farms, an enemy Ju-87 Stuka conducted dive bombing attacks on our battery. Disregarding the near bomb explosions, Comrade G.F. Frolov, displaying boldness and bravery, shot down the enemy aircraft. Comrade G.F. Frolov was awarded the medal “For Bravery” for his combat accomplishments.
His gun fired on four occasions against enemy dive bombers on 11 August, resulting in one enemy plane shot down near Irbosk and another near Voronkino.
While firing on a group of FW-190s on 11 August of this year, his crew displayed great mastery; despite the enemy’s evasive maneuvers, Comrade G.F. Frolov led his gun’s firing, of which the third burst set a FW-190 on fire.
For his combat achievements, Comrade G.F. Frolov is deserving of the Order of Glory III Class.
